Retail

The West End's most influential retail addresses

a storefronts with lights

Demand for West End retail remains strong, with brands placing value on locations that combine exceptional footfall, culture and a diverse consumer base. Scarcity continues to support rental values, with availability across many of our streets at or near record lows. Our destinations benefit from a seven-day trading environment, supported by strong trading conditions.

Our portfolio comprises more than 400 shops across a range of rental levels. Our carefully managed destinations continue to attract both global brands entering or expanding in the UK and home-grown operators.

Kookaï and K-Way bolster Carnaby Street's fashion mix

Occupying 1,800 sq ft, Kookaï has launched its debut permanent UK location at 37 Carnaby Street, showcasing its refreshed iteration following success across Australia, New Zealand and Europe. The new boutique-style flagship features a selection of womenswear, designed exclusively from its Melbourne studio. The debut is a clear vote of confidence in Carnaby Street and the wider Soho neighbourhood, as a platform for international brands to make an entrance into the UK market.

Located at 26–27 Carnaby Street, K-Way has opened its West End debut. The 1,400 sq ft flagship marks a key stage in the strategic expansion for the retailer, which, like Kookaï, has an extensive presence across Western Europe. The new location stocks its signature outerwear across menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, and accessories.

POP MART launches its largest London site in Chinatown London

Spanning more than 5,000 sq ft, POP MART’s new Chinatown London store is its largest in London, and comes just over four years after the brand launched its UK debut, also with Shaftesbury Capital. The space will allow a wide range of designer collectables to be showcased, including exclusives from character collections such as HIRONO, SKULLPANDA, and THE MONSTERS (LABUBU), all benefitting from POP MART’s industry-leading innovation in blind-box retail.

The decision to launch this new flagship, in partnership with Shaftesbury Capital, comes as a direct response to POP MART’s consistent success in the UK and the reputation of Chinatown London as a world-famous hub for ESEA culture.
